What does the open room acupuncture treatment look like? Once you schedule your appointment, you will arrive and fill out a brief intake form focusing on your chief concern (for example, insomnia or pain). Your acupuncturist will then take you back to a small intake room to ask and answer any necessary questions about what is going on for you that day.
Once a brief intake has been completed, you will be taken into a quiet room where you will receive an individualized treatment in a zero-gravity chair located in our clinic’s beautiful studio space. Treatments include points on the arms, legs, and ears to allow for fully-clothed experiences – massage/ cupping/ gua sha is not included in these treatments.
The open room contains four treatment chairs – you will be sharing space with others —however we ensure your treatment and health concerns remain individualized and confidential. Communication happens in a private intake room so that the treatment space can remain quiet and confidential for optimal relaxation and healing.
Commonly asked questions:
- How much does it cost? We provide this service on a $30-60 sliding-scale.
- What should I wear? Loose clothing is ideal so we can easily access the arms and legs. No abdominal or back points will be used in this style of treatment which allows each person to remain fully clothed in the open-room setting!
- How long will I get with needles in? You will get to relax for 20-30 minutes with needles in.
- What conditions can be addressed with this type of treatment? We can work on a diverse set of health concerns such as insomnia, pain, headaches, stress/ anxiety/depression, addiction recovery, wellness tune-ups, allergies, and more!
