Rebekah Knause, L.Ac., LMT, RYT

Rebekah
is the owner and Acupuncturist at Balanced You Clinic. She has been a practicing massage therapist since 2002. Over the course of her 23 years of practicing massage, she spent eight years working at a progressive Chiropractic Group, now known as Apple Health Care, in Knoxville.

In 2010, Rebekah branched out from Apple to establish her own practice, named Balanced You. Since then, she has also become a certified Yoga Teacher, instructing at Glowing Body Yoga Studio in Knoxville. While teaching yoga and maintaining a full massage practice, she was introduced to acupuncture and, experiencing its significant benefits, decided to become a licensed practitioner.

She attended Jung Tao School of Chinese Medicine in Sugar Grove, NC, graduating in 2018, and has been practicing acupuncture since that time. While she enjoyed having her own space, she also desired a sense of community and aimed to be part of a team of highly skilled practitioners in acupuncture, massage, hypnosis, and yoga. This vision led to the formation of the Balanced You Clinic as it exists today. She considers this endeavor to have been one of the most challenging and fulfilling experiences of her life, one that continues to foster personal growth and helps her remain focused on the broader objective of healing, which is community.

Currently, the clinic comprises six acupuncturists, three massage therapists, and Gwen, who serves as the hypnosis therapist and life coach.

Rebekah expresses considerable enthusiasm regarding the recent additions, noting that the three newest acupuncturists each possess over 14 years of experience and hail from diverse educational backgrounds across the country. Balanced You is significantly augmenting the collective wisdom within its space, and Ms. Knause states her excitement to learn from them all.

In addition to managing a flourishing acupuncture and massage clinic, Rebekah has recently begun working as a Teacher’s Assistant (TA) with Jon Erik in the Clinical Skills class at Jung Tao. She feels a strong connection to the school where she studied Chinese Medicine and harbors aspirations of teaching in the future.
